Application & Registration

The Bishops’ High School boasts a wide curriculum with the objective of ensuring that each student is well rounded when they graduate from the institution. Students are each exposed to forty (40) periods of learning each week throughout the school year.  Classes at The Bishops’ High School cater for seven years of learning, successful completion of Grades 7-11 is mandatory for graduation from the institution. 

During years One and Two of each student’s academic pursuits,  they are taught a list of compulsory subjects.  In year Three, each student will be afforded options from which they choose those that align with their interests and career pursuits. They will then be placed in streams in the Fourth year of their education where their primary focus will be the subjects relevant to their career paths. These subjects are carried over to the Fifth year  at which time  they will sit the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination.

Students who are desirous of  returning for years Six and Seven must meet the minimum requirements before they are admitted to continue their Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) education. Students accepted for this programme are each afforded the opportunity to read for an Associate’s Degree in the field of study for which they applied.
